The Haskell Free Library shares space with the Haskell Opera House found in Derby Line, Vermont and Stanstead, Quebec. The building was constructed in 1901 to provide our border communities a place for learning and cultural enrichment. It’s the only building in the world that is split in two by an international border. The library offers Internet and computer access, downloadable audio and e-books, book clubs, a children’s summer reading program and toddler time. The Haskell Free Library serves communities on both sides of the border and delivers services to its patrons in English and French.
