Jay, VT—Community National Bank Troy Office Supervisor Julie Willis recently presented Kathy DiCarlo with CNB’s Community Service Award. This award was developed by the bank to recognize the “unsung heroes” that make our communities better places to work and live.

Kathy is very active in her community and is an inspiration to many. She serves as the President of the Jay Focus Group and is instrumental in the group’s fundraising initiatives. She is the driving force behind the group’s Community Service Scholarship given each year to a graduating high school student. Kathy coordinates the Tuesday Light Lunch and Social at the Jay Community Center for area residents. She provides support to the Jay Area Food Shelf by helping with food drives and picking up items donated by local grocery stores. She spends countless hours collecting prizes donated by local businesses and community members for annual fundraising events and raffles. Kathy’s passion to help people and to raise awareness for those in need has benefited the Jay community and the surrounding areas. 

To celebrate Kathy’s commitment and dedication to her community, we are proud to present her with Community National Bank’s Community Service Award for the second quarter of 2015. CNB’s Community Service Award honors and recognizes our recipients by making a $500.00 contribution to a local, non-profit organization of the recipient’s choice. Derby, VT—Community National Bank (CNB) President Stephen P. Marsh recently announced the promotion of Robin Coulter to Newport Office Manager and Officer of Community National Bank. Robin joined CNB in 2000 as a Teller in the Derby office. During Robin’s 15 years at the bank, she has worked as a Teller, Certified Teller, Personal Banker, Island Pond Office Supervisor and Newport Office Supervisor. She is now the Newport Office Manager and an Officer of the Bank. 

Robin holds the following diplomas awarded through Northern New England Center for Financial Training:  General Banking, Banking and Finance, Advanced Financial Services, Consumer Lending and Bank Operations. Robin has also received the Supervisor Certificate awarded through Northern New England Center for Financial Training, and she is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking. Committed to serving her community, Robin serves as Treasurer for the local chapter of the Salvation Army and is an active participant in many community activities supported by Community National Bank.

Robin is a life-long resident of the Northeast Kingdom where she has raised her children. Robin currently resides in Derby Line with her husband Tom.







Troy,VT—In a recent show of respect and admiration, Community National Bank Vice President of Branch Administration Cindy LaGue presented a 25 by 40 foot U.S. Flag to Troy Fire Department and North East International Mutual Aid (NEIMA) member Bobby Jacobs. The flag is a gift from the bank to NEIMA to replace the current flag that has been used for many years at various ceremonial events and local firefighters’ funeral services.

NEIMA is a nonprofit association made up of numerous fire departments across two countries. Member departments include Albany, Ayer’s Cliff, Barton, Brighton, Charleston, Craftsbury, Derby Line, Glover, Irasburg, Jay, Lowell, Mansonville, Newark, Newport, Newport Center, North Troy, Orleans, Stanstead, Stanstead Township, Troy and Westomore. The organization permits member departments to work together when extra resources are needed during an emergency, at no extra cost to the requesting department.  

NEIMA also serves as a voice for its member departments when conversing with state officials on issues of interest to all of the members. Each year, NEIMA hosts a regional fire school open to member and nonmember departments with course offerings to beginners and experienced firefighters to ensure safe and effective techniques are being used.

Most of the firefighters serving our communities are volunteers. Community National Bank thanks all of departments and their members for their dedicated service. We appreciate all of your efforts.








Over the last few years the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has rolled out many new rules that banks are required to follow.  One of those rules calls for a series of notices to customers when the insurance that covers the collateral on their loan lapses or cancels, or the bank does not have current evidence of insurance coverage.  In many cases, you may have changed companies or agents and we simply have not yet been notified.

To help manage these complex regulatory requirements and to ensure our customers have current collateral insurance coverage, Community National Bank has recently partnered with Allied Solutions, LLC.  Allied Solutions is located in Carmel, Indiana and specializes in monitoring, verifying and updating insurance policy information.

Allied will collect the following information, all of which can be found on your policy declarations page:

  • The insurance agency’s name, mailing address and phone number
  • Insurance policy number
  • Coverage amount

Your policy should also list Community National Bank as mortgagee to ensure that Allied can continue to track your coverage for the life of your loan. The mortgagee clause reads as follows:

If you are contacted to supply updated insurance information, you may provide your information in the manner most convenient for you:

  • Go online to to enter your insurance information.

 If you have any questions about updating insurance policy information please call 1-800-998-0762 to reach the Allied Solutions insurance center.

Lastly, we caution you that much of the insurance notice is “model” language required by regulation and we are not at liberty to change it.  If you receive a notice, you may find the notice very direct and somewhat harsh, just not what you’re used to from CNB, for that we apologize.  We’d change it if we could.
