Lyndonville, VT—Community National Bank (CNB) Broad Street Office Manager Mary Marceau recently presented Teresa Vasko with CNB’s Community Service Award. This award was developed by the bank to recognize the “unsung heroes” that make our communities better places to work and live.

Teresa has been described as the “very definition of community service”. She has donated countless hours to many organizations in her community. She willingly gives her time to the Lyndon Chamber of Commerce, greeting visitors at the Lyndon Information Booth and helps them navigate the area.

During the months of November and December, Teresa can be found at the Lyndon Holiday Shoppe which promotes and benefits local crafters. In the past, Teresa has crotcheted clothing for teddy bears that were donated to charitable organizations.

Teresa volunteers regularly at the Cobleigh Library teaching children origami and sharing their projects with community members and the residents of Darling Inn’s senior living facility. She has also actively taken part in fundraising efforts to help the Books on Wheels Bookmobile.

She is an active member of the Lyndonville Methodist Church and choir. Teresa makes herself available to transport members of the church to and from activities. She takes the time to make and send cards to members of the church that are not able to get out of their homes, and she is a volunteer at the Pines Rehabilitation Center.

To celebrate Teresa’s commitment and dedication, we are proud to present her with Community National Bank’s Community Service Award for the fourth quarter of 2014.

CNB’s Community Service Award honors and recognizes our recipients by making a $500.00 contribution to a local, non-profit organization of the recipient’s choice. Teresa has requested that her donation be made to the Cobleigh Public Library.

To nominate an “unsung hero” in your community, please visit your local CNB office or visit our Web site at communitynationalbank.com to complete a nomination form.
