Derby, VT—Community National Bank (CNB) President and CEO Kathryn Austin is proud to announce the promotion of David “Dave” Rubel to Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer.
Rubel joined CNB in 2014 as a Portfolio Manager after several years of working as an Area Business Advisor for the Vermont Small Business Development Center. In 2019, Dave was promoted to Commercial Loan Officer and has been actively meeting the credit needs of a diverse customer base primarily doing business in the central Vermont area and in Chittenden County. Dave is a graduate of the ABA Advanced Commercial Lending School, the Northern New England School of Banking and the RMA Commercial Lending School. He is also a graduate of American University, Washington, DC. He is currently attending the New England School for Financial Studies.
Dave has a long history of community outreach. He is a past President of the Montpelier Rotary Club, served as a Director for the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce, and has chaired Central Vermont Road Pitch. He has also been a coach and board member of Barre Youth Lacrosse. Currently, Dave sits on the advisory board for the Vermont Small Business Development Center and is a Director for Barre Area Development Corporation and Central Vermont Economic Corporation. Dave was born and raised in Barre where he currently resides with his family.
