McCabe Recognized for Outstanding Service
Community Service Award recipient Bob McCabe and CNB St. Johnsbury Office Manager Michelle Cleveland.

St. Johnsbury, VT — Community National Bank’s St. Johnsbury Office Manager Michelle Cleveland recently had the honor of presenting Robert "Bob" McCabe with the bank’s Community Service Award. This award was created to recognize remarkable people who give back to our communities making them better places to live, work and grow.
Bob is an active volunteer for the H.O.P.E. organization, who works quietly behind the scenes. He picks up donations of food to stock the food shelf, writes grants and sends “thank-you” cards to donors. When clients don’t have access to transportation, Bob works to provide what they need. He helps coordinate fundraising events and gladly takes on tasks that need attention. Bob is a volunteer board member, and his commitment and dedication to H.O.P.E. have increased the effectiveness of the organization’s mission to help people.

H.O.P.E. is a private, non-profit agency that helps families and individuals with basic life needs. The organization runs and operates a thrift store in Lyndonville to help fund its mission. All proceeds from the thrift store sales directly benefit programs provided by H.O.P.E.

To celebrate Bob’s service to his community, we are proud to present him with the bank’s Community Service award for the first quarter of 2018. The bank honors and recognizes our recipients by making a $500.00 contribution to a local, non-profit organization of the recipient’s choice. Bob has requested that his donation be made to the H.O.P.E. organization. To learn more about H.O.P.E., the programs offered or how to donate, please visit
