Newport, VT—Community National Bank (CNB) is pleased to be a sponsor of the Newport Vermont Centennial Celebration. To help commemorate this special occasion local Artist Victoria Mathiesen created a spectacular Centennial Portrait that illustrates the City of Newport over the past 100 years.
The bank would like to extend a big “thank you” to the Newport Centennial Committee and Victoria for gifting customized copies of the Centennial Portrait for all of our offices in Orleans and Essex counties. The portraits are on display at the following CNB locations, Derby, Barton, Derby Line, Island Pond, Newport and Troy. The bank is excited to help the City of Newport celebrate this important milestone.
The Newport Centennial Celebration is taking place June 29-July 4. The City will be filled with a variety of activities including the Newport Centennial Parade, Live Music on the Boardwalk and the Quebec Historical Corps Live Encampment. There will be a street dance with back-to-back performances by Michael Goudreau and Last Kid Picked, catered by the Eastside Restaurant. Event attendees can travel the railway with Green Mountain Passenger Train Rides for a modest per-person fee. Some of the scheduled events may require tickets to be purchased in advance.
