Since 1851 we’ve been helping Vermonters build their homes, businesses and dreams. Like you, we live here and recognize a responsibility to support economic development, affordable housing, youth and education programs and the arts and recreation. We provide on-going support to many not-for-profit organizations that are essential in the well-being of our communities.
The FDIC assesses bank commitment and contributions that help meet the financial needs of our communities. Community National Bank has earned the “Outstanding” rating designation for many years. Our monetary contributions, our lending practices and most importantly, our employees’ volunteerism make our bank a genuine community bank.
We receive hundreds of requests annually and, while we try to help as many as possible, we are unable to take part in all of the great initiatives throughout our communities. Here are a few guidelines we consider:
- The group must be a recognized non-profit organization, supporting philanthropic, educational, community enrichment or economic development activities, including organizations which assist in the provision of credit services in our community, whether directly or indirectly.
- The activities of the organization should benefit, directly or indirectly, a minimum of 25 people residing in Community National Bank’s lending community. We are not able to support requests for individuals.
- The activities of the organization must serve a demonstrated need within the community.
