Chief Operating & Innovation Officer

COO & Innovation Officer, reporting directly to the President & CEO, is responsible for managing Information Technology, Loan Operations, and Deposit Operations, as well as leading an innovation strategy for the organization.   As a member of the executive team, the COO & IO oversees business operations, identifies key areas for new technology and innovation to enhance competitiveness and improve organizational efficiencies.


  • Provide leadership to the Information Technology, Loan Operations and Deposit Operations Managers. 
  • Make employment decisions, review performance, make salary recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and conformance with policy.
  • Champion the role of innovation by aligning overall business strategy with innovative thinking.
  • Seek input from stakeholders at different levels to identify areas of innovation and growth.
  • Identify innovation trends and business opportunities within the market.
  • Identify, strategize, develop and drive transformative initiatives.
  • Provide support for implementing strategic initiatives, recommendations for relevant capital expenditures, analyzing financial impacts.
  • Design, plan and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
  • Set comprehensive goals for measuring success.


  • Education:  Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Information Technology, Business, Management or related discipline. Master's degree (M.A./M.S./MBA) preferred.
  • Experience:  Six to eight years related experience; three to five years in management position.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Full Time Commercial Loan Assistant

The Commercial Loan Assistant provides general clerical and administrative support to commercial lenders.


  • General administrative support duties.
  • Assist with the collection and tracking of borrower’s financial statements.
  • Prepare commercial credit memorandums.
  • Resolve credit exceptions.
  • Assist with loan documentation, tracking and preparation for commercial loan closings.
  • Maintain Loan Support filing system.
  • Liaison between lenders, credit admin and other departments.
  • Work independently and with a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Senior Credit Officer.



Full Time Retail Loan Administrator - Derby Office

The Retail Loan Administrator is responsible for retail loan operations activities.


  • Comply with Real Estate Lending Regulations
  • Depth of knowledge with organizational and secondary market standards
  • Advise and assist retail loan operations staff with complex files and issues
  • Direct the workflow of the retail loan operations staff
  • Liaison between residential lenders and retail loan operations staff
  • Approve or reject in-house mortgages and exceptions
  • Interact with vendors, attorneys, credit reporting agencies and authorize expenditures
  • Develop, maintain and implement procedures and training programs
  • Knowledge of and ability to administer the platforms used, i.e. Mortgage Bot and Laser Pro
  • Facilitate ongoing training and cross training of team
  • Work directly with auditors and examiners as it relates to the department.
  • Comply with Code of Ethics standards and all applicable bank compliance laws and regulations
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned 


  • Education:Associates Degree or equivalent in Finance, Banking or related discipline.
  • Experience:Four to Six years related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Other: Must have demonstrated skills in: customer service, attention to detail, general computer/internet skills, verbal communication, integrity, people skills, thoroughness and documentation. Must be able to learn new software quickly. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
