Friberg receives CNB’s Community Service AwardMontpelier, VT — Community National Bank’s (CNB’s) Montpelier Office Supervisor Lorilee Drown had the honor of presenting Carolyn “Cary” Friberg with the Bank’s Community Service Award. This award was developed to recognize the “unsung heroes” that make our communities better places to live, work and play.
Cary has been a volunteer at Good Beginnings of Central Vermont (GBCV) for the past five years. The gift of her time, during the postpartum transition, has made a tremendous impact on nearly 30 Vermont families. Her open heart and helping hands have comforted boarder babies, have provided new moms with transportation to appointments and have offered respite to overwhelmed parents. Cary delivers care with grace and is an inspiration to everyone she meets. With dedication to her volunteer work, she makes an outstanding effort to learn about topics that affect postpartum families.
To celebrate Cary’s commitment and dedication to newborns and their families, we are proud to present her with Community National Bank’s Community Service Award for the third quarter of 2016. CNB’s Community Service Award honors and recognizes our recipients by making a $500.00 contribution to a local, non-profit organization of the recipient’s choice. Cary has requested that her donation be made to Good Beginnings of Central Vermont.
Good Beginnings of Central Vermont was established in 1991 and provides families with newborns support and resources to establish homes where children can thrive. To learn more about GBCV and the programs they offer please visit
