ATM Features
· The Community’s Promise savings account ATM card is strictly for ATM usage. It is not a debit card. It can not be used for making purchases in stores or online. It can only be used at ATM machines. · The daily ATM withdrawal limit is $200.00. · ATM card usage fees may apply when using ATM’s that are not owned and operated by CNB. Be sure to read all screens carefully to ensure you understand how much you will be charged. Keep all receipts and deduct from your register. · Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a four digit number that is chosen by you. This number is unique to your account and is not to be shared with anyone. Pick a number you will remember. We encourage you not to use the last four digits of your social security number, date of birth or telephone number. DO NOT WRITE YOUR PIN NUMBER ON YOUR CARD. Protecting Against Fraud and Identity Theft
· Review your bank statement monthly, ensuring all transactions were legitimately made by you. · Never give any personal information such as your date of birth, social security number or address over the phone, through the mail, email or Internet. Your bank and/or any other reputable establishment would already have that information on file and would never call or approach you for it.
· Before transacting business online, in person, or through the mail with any individual or organization always make sure you are dealing with a reputable company. Learn how to recognize red flags; if things sound to good to be true they probably are. Good Record Keeping Practices
· All transactions are recorded in a transaction register. Deposits are recorded on the right hand side in the deposit column and added to the running balance. Withdrawals are recorded on the left hand side in the withdrawal or payment column and subtracted from the running balance. · Each month review and balance your bank statement. In your register, record the interest earned and any service charge fees you may have incurred. · Follow the balancing instructions found on the back of your statement or use our online account balancing calculator. What if my account doesn’t balance?
· Re-check your addition and subtraction. · Verify all transactions are recorded correctly. · Make sure service charges and interest are recorded in your register. · If your account does not balance after reviewing the steps above, immediately call or visit a CNB customer service representative with your statement and register so that we can assist with balancing the account and confirm that all the transactions have posted correctly.
